County Competitions
Lesley Paterson is our County Representative and can help and advise on all aspects of these County Competitions.
Club players can enter a variety of different County Competitions, which can eventually culminate in representing Somerset in the National Competitions. The entry forms, rules and results can be found -
Men & Ladies can enter the following County Competitions
- Singles (4 bowls, 21 shots)
- Pairs (4 bowls each player, 18 ends)
- Triples (3 bowls each player, 18 ends)
- Fours (2 bowls each player 18 ends)
- Two Wood Singles (2 bowls each, 21 ends)
- Junior Singles (4 bowls, 21 shots)
- Junior Pairs (4 bowls each player, 18 ends)
- Senior Fours (2 bowls each player, 18 ends)
- Open Championship (singles, 4 bowls, 21 shots)
- Mixed Pairs (4 bowls each player, 18 ends)
- Mixed Triples (3 bowls each player, 18 ends) - either 2 men & 1 woman, or visa vera.
- Honorary Secretaries (singles, 4 bowls, 21 shots)
- Beginners Singles (4 bowls, 21 shots) - players must be new to bowls and have played 5 years or less.
